Het eerste heilige gebouw dat ten zuiden van de Malophoros- omheining wordt aangetroffen, is een tempel, gewoonlijk het Triolo-gebouw genoemd, naar de naam van de familie die eigenaar is van een bestaand pand in het gebied.
De tempel wordt voorafgegaan door een groot altaar. Het gebouw ziet eruit als een archaïsche tempel van opmerkelijke proporties. Dankzij een rigoureuze restauratie werden de noord- en zuidzijde van het gebouw herbouwd.
We weten met zekerheid dat het gebouw na de verwoesting van de stad (409 v.Chr.) werd hergebruikt door de Carthagers die aan het oostfront een portiek toevoegden met pilaren met daarboven Egyptische groefkapitelen.
