Voor de volgende plek, keert u om en gaat u rechtsaf naar de Brink. In het trottoir aan de overzijde van het zebrapad (in de zomer voor de poffertjes-kraam) ligt een platte steen met een tekst van Gerrit Achterberg. Deze zin uit het Kermesse d'été schreeft Achterberg als herinnering aan zijn bezoek aan de kermis van Laren, die vroeger op de Brink werd gehouden. Nikki van Es leverde het idee, Karin Wielenga maakte het ontwerp en Sacha de Leeuw hakte de letters uit. De steen is een schenking van Chris de Haan bij zijn afscheid als exploitant van de poffertjeskraam op 22 mei 1991.
