U vertoeft nu in het grootste aaneengesloten heidegebied van Noord-Brabant, waarin de havik, wulp en heikikker leven. In het reservaat liggen droge stukken met stuifzand, struik- en dopheidevelden. In de natte stukken vindt u moeraswolfsklauw, veenmos en snavelzegge. De mooie Kempenweg voert door het naaldbosgebied, waarachter het Starven en Beuven liggen. U krijgt er lekkere korte bochten en een goed geasfalteerde weg tot aan de Provincialeweg. Links ligt de Somerse Heide met het Keelven en iets verder Lange Bleek met het Bultven. Waar vindt u zoveel natuurschoon in nog geen 30 kilometer motortocht.
