Charles Le Chevalier liet deze boerderij in 1847 bouwen en noemde hem naar zijn vrouw Anna van Heurn. Vanaf deze tijd tot aan het jaar 2000 is de boerderij verpacht geweest. Tot de pacht behoorden de gronden direct rondom de boerderij maar ook de gronden waar deze wandeling u naar toe leidt.
Natte gronden maar door de kleinschalige manier van boeren uit vroegere tijd, wisten de boeren hier heel goed mee om te gaan.
De boerderij wordt nu particulier bewoond en het voorhuis is in gebruik als logeerhuis. De voormalige ligboxenstal is ingericht als groepsverblijf voor schoolkampen, vakantieweken en andere groepen.
