Vooralsnog is de plantage een onderdeel van de boerderij. Naast de asperges en aardbeien, staan er inmiddels enkele duizenden theeplanten in de grond. Deze staan verdeeld over drie theetuinen. Dit zijn de planten waar ook van wordt geplukt. Van het geplukte blad maken we vervolgens in eigen beheer de thee.
In de kassen hebben we een heuse ‘nursery’ waar jonge planten van verschillende variëteiten worden opgekweekt. De proeftuin zeg maar: daar kijken we welke soorten het best gedijen en groeien in het Nederlandse klimaat.
