St. Joseph's Asylum (voormalig klooster van de Teresiaanse Orde): De "Asilo de Inválidos de S. José" was de vervanging van het klooster van Santa Teresa, ontbonden en geconfisqueerd door de beroemde liberale wet van 1834.
Het werd gesticht door aartsbisschop Gaspar de Bragança (1758-1789) die het schonk aan Senhorinha de Sant'Ana, een voormalige dominicaan. De renovatie begon in 1763 en de betreffende kerk werd in 1766 ingezegend. Met een sobere gevel werd deze in drie blokken verdeeld.
De stilistische analyse van de formele elementen van het portaal en de ramen bracht Robert Smith ertoe zijn gezag aan André Soares toe te kennen.
