Acker- bzw. Weideland, Kiesgrube. Nach 1945 wird der Schutt aus der zerbombten Altstadt und aus Oberhausen hier angefüllt. Danach wurde die Fläche bis in die 80er Jahre wieder landwirtschaftlich genutzt und ist jetzt eine Sportstätte, auf der sogar nationale Wettkämpfe wie 1996 die Deutsche Meisterschaft im Voltigieren und 1997 die Goldene Schärpe der Pony-Reiter ausgetragen.
Heute treffen Reiter und Pferd auf ideale Bedingungen. Vorher allerdings waren – vornehmlich in Eigenleistung der Vereinsmitglieder - umfangreiche Arbeiten mit Hacke, Schaufel und Frontlader notwendig. Seit 1995 ist der Geländepark („auf Dorstens höchstem Punkt südlich der Lippe“) ein gesuchter Übungsplatz, geeignet für Vereinsturniere und größere Veranstaltungen.
