Eijsden has her own Statue of Liberty. In honor of 70 years of liberation of Eijsden in 2015, students of group 6, 7 and 8 of Primary School de Cramignon made small sculptures out of wax and wood in the theme 'freedom'.
The children wondered, "Who or
what do I want to protect or cherish?'. Together with the artist, the children made one large sculpture that was later cast in aluminum. Now it shows off on a lawn between the library and the school.
