Die Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Highlanders (SDG) sind ein Infanterieregiment der Primary Reserve der kanadischen Armee.
Mitte September 1944 erhielt die 3. kanadische Infanteriedivision unter Führung der 8. und 9. kanadischen Infanteriebrigade den Befehl, Boulogne-sur-Mer einzunehmen . Die Operation erhielt den Codenamen Wellhit .
Die SDG-Soldaten wurden von einem unbekannten Boulonnais durch einen geheimen Tunnel in die Burg geführt, was die 200 Verteidiger überraschte.
