The statue Thinker on a Rock, better known as "The Hare", has been on the Neude since 2002 and was made by the British artist Barry Flanagan. The statue shows a hare in the same pose as Rodin's famous The Thinker. A fun fact is that this hare is regularly dressed by Utrecht residents: in the winter he gets a scarf and sometimes a bunch of carrots in his lap.
