El bosque estatal de Mareuil, cerca de Chauvigny, es un inmenso robledal de más de 660 hectáreas gestionado de forma sostenible por la Oficina Nacional de Bosques.
Además de la producción de madera y la protección de la biodiversidad, la acogida del público es una de las funciones del bosque: cuenta con 4 áreas de recepción pública equipadas con mesas, paneles informativos y aparcamientos. Además, tres senderos señalizados permiten a los visitantes descubrir el bosque de forma lúdica o deportiva gracias al sendero de descubrimiento educativo, el sendero deportivo y el sendero para bicicletas de montaña.
