Le fort de Barchon tombe sous les assauts de l'armée allemande le 8 août 1914. En 1940, sa résistance fut plus farouche. Du 10 au 18 mai, le fort porte de nombreux coups à l'ennemi qui répond par un bombardement continu de l'artillerie et des Stukas.
Ouvert le 2e dimanche du mois à 14h d'avril à novembre. La visite débute par un diaporama et se clôture par la visite du musée.
