Il campanile di questa chiesa di mattoni proviene dal predecessore, un'opera neoclassica del 1828. Questo campanile quadrato ha due sezioni, è coperto da un pinnacolo sfinatoso ed ha una statua di San Pietro sopra il portale d'ingresso.
L'attuale edificio della chiesa è realizzato in stile neoromanico e risale al 1910. La chiesa è stata ampliata nel 1949-1950 con due navate laterali.
