"Dit is de doorgang die de kleine Meurthe maakte om uit de berg te komen. Deze 4 km lange kloof ligt ingesloten tussen twee bergen van meer dan 1000 meter hoogte. De kronkelende weg loopt langs de rivier, door bossen met beuken en sparren. Het landschap is vreemd fantastisch, zelfs mysterieus. Op sommige plaatsen filteren de zonnestralen door de harsachtige naalden om plaats te maken voor een zacht licht. Nog niet zo lang geleden, waren er houthakkers, schlitters, zagerijen en marmerfabrieken in volle activiteit. Op de Glacière voelt u zelfs in de hitte de bijna permanente koelte van deze plek.
Deze kloof is toegankelijk vanuit Ban-Sur-Meurthe-Clefcy.
