The Pollismolen is a water mill, built before 1078. The mill was used as a grain mill on the Wijshagerbeek.
The Pollismolen in Opitter has been fully operational again since 2015. This beautiful undershot mill with an authentic wooden interior was already mentioned in 1078. The current building and interior date from around 1870. The mill is currently no longer located at the Itter but at the Wijshager- or Eetsevelderbeek. It is one of the oldest mills in the region. The mill ceased operations in 1961. It was purchased by the municipality of Bree in 1981 and restored in 1987. Today, a hospitality function is established at the mill.
The Pollismolen in Opitter can be visited on Sunday or by appointment. A visit to this centuries-old mill completes your visit to Bree.
