Architektonisches Ensemble, das dem Architekten Guillaume Hersecap zugeschrieben wird und aus sechs Häusern besteht, die 1683 erbaut und nach 1916 restauriert wurden, wie die Kartuschen in der Fassade von Nr. 27 zeigen.
Der strenge Rhythmus verstärkt die Homogenität des Ganzen, trotz der unterschiedlichen Breiten und der Anpassungen der Sohlbänke der Steinrahmen im Erdgeschoss. Oben werden die klassischen Buchten vom Typ Tournai durch eine Tragekordel akzentuiert. Besonders präsent sind Dächer aus Ziegeln oder Ziegeln, die mit anmutigen Locken über den Holzkonsolen hängen.
Die „Rue du Chateau“ wurde früher „Rue Castelaine“ genannt, weil die erste Burg von Tournai in der Nähe auf einer Insel in der Schelde lag.
