La Congregació de la Mare de Déu de la Caritat és un gran edifici neoclàssic del segle XVI envoltat de jardins.
Encara que actualment és una residència de gent gran , en els seus orígens va ser un monestir benedictí per a dones . Se n'han conservat parts com una torre manuelina , una sostrada i alguns fragments del claustre interior. L'església va ser reconstruïda al segle XVIII en estil barroc.
