Neerharen er en delkommune af Lanaken i provinsen belgisk Limburg. Landsbyen Herbricht tilhører også Neerharen. Da Zuid-Willemsvaart blev gravet i 1828, dukkede en meget gammel sølvvase op fra Maas, som i dag opbevares på Rijksmuseum van Oudheden i Leiden. Genstanden, som sandsynligvis stammer fra Sydeuropa og dateres til perioden fra 500 f.Kr., har længe optaget sindene, især på grund af den mystiske inskription med latinske og græske tegn, hvis betydning stadig ikke er klar. Den romerske vej fra Nijmegen til Tongeren gik gennem Neerharen. Her er der fundet vigtige romerske rester, herunder en romersk badeanstalt med hypocaustum, cirka fra år 100 e.Kr.
