El Castillo de Tervuren fue entre los siglos XII y XVIII la residencia y uno de los castillos más importantes de los duques de Brabante. Fue construido alrededor de 1190 bajo Enrique I, duque de Brabante, y durante seis siglos marcó el paisaje de Tervuren, antes de ser destruido en noviembre de 1781 por orden del emperador José.
Hasta el día de hoy, solo quedan algunos cimientos actualizados en el borde del estanque del castillo y la Capilla de San Huberto, originalmente un edificio de madera moderno del castillo antes de ser reemplazado por el actual edificio de piedra del siglo XVII.
