Al lloc del beguinatge "delle tour" fundat al segle XIV i abolit l'any 1642, contra el desaparegut monestir de les Monges Grises o Recollectines, es va construir cap a l'any 1760 un antic refugi de l'Abadia de Malonne .
El palau episcopal ha estat ampliat des de principis del segle XIX per mossèn Pisani de la Gaude amb una ala per al secretariat, un gran saló i diverses dependències. En substitució de l'anterior es va construir una capella neogòtica , totalment pintada i datada l'any 1859.
Precedida d'un pati pavimentat , tancat al costat del carrer per un alt mur, aquesta bonica mansió en forma d'U de maó i pedra calcària d'estil Lluís XV, arrebossada i pintada. L'edifici principal té un frontó corbat amb el lema "Benevole et fortiter" i l' escut de l'abat Bonvoisin.
