Poesele er en landsby i den belgiske provins Oost-Vlaanderen og en delkommune af Deinze. Mod syd for stedet flyder Poekebeek. En gammel omtale af Poesele går tilbage til et dokument fra 1121 som Poksela. Dette navn er en sammensmeltning af Poka eller Poekebeek, og sali, et germansk ord for et bondestue med ét værelse. Godset Poesele tilhørte først familien von Beveren, borggreverne af Diksmuide. Fra 1284 og indtil slutningen af det ancien régime faldt det under herrerne af Nevele.
