Durch den Reichtum einer Rennbahn und eines Reitsportzentrums ist Waregem als Wiege des Pferdesports in unserem Land bekannt.
Die Gaverbeek-Rennbahn ist 17 ha groß und befindet sich einen Steinwurf vom Stadtzentrum entfernt.
Jedes Wochenende, von Anfang Mai bis September, finden hier Trabrennen statt.
