Oostkerke ist ein belgisches Polderdorf und ein Teilgemeinde der westflämischen Stadt Damme. Es war bis zur Kommunalreform von 1977 eine eigenständige Gemeinde. 1974 wurde Oostkerke zum schönsten Dorf Westflanderns gewählt. Oostkerke entwickelte sich auf einer - natürlichen oder künstlichen - Erhöhung in einem Marschgebiet. Obwohl es 1028 schriftlich als Ostkerka zum ersten Mal erwähnt wurde, könnte die Entstehungsgeschichte bis ins 8. Jahrhundert zurückreichen. 1089 wird zum ersten Mal von einer eigenständigen Pfarrei gesprochen.
