Wusstest du, dass Jean Neuhaus als der Erfinder der Praline gilt? Er entwarf diese Praline 1912 in dem Geschäft seines Großvaters. Dieses Geschäft gibt es noch heute und du kannst es in der Königinnen-Galerie sehen. Jean brachte also die erste gefüllte Schokolade mit einer zarten Füllung auf den Markt. Noch bemerkenswerter: Auch die Erfindung der Pralinenschachtel, der Ballotin, ist mit Neuhaus verbunden. Einige Jahre nach der ersten Praline erfand seine Frau diese Ballotin. Sie hatte das aus dem einfachen Grund getan, dass sie es nicht ertragen konnte, ihren Mann Pralinen verkaufen und in ein Papiertütchen stecken zu sehen, wie sie kaputt gingen.
