Dieses Gebäude ist heute auch als De Rotonde bekannt. Dieses luxuröse Palasthotel, entworfen von dem berühmten Architekten Octave Van Rysselberghe, wurde 1911 festlich eröffnet und überliefert zufolge ist dies heute das einzige Gebäude in Westende-Bad, das vor dem Ersten Weltkrieg errichtet wurde...
Die Deutschen installieren Luftabwehr auf dem Dach und es wird daher regelmäßig von den Alliierten beschossen. Es kommt schwer beschädigt aus dem Krieg, wird aber durch eine stabile Betonstruktur gerettet.
Das Hotel übersteht auch den Zweiten Weltkrieg und den Bauboom an der Küste. Keine geringe Leistung. Heute ist es ein geschütztes Denkmal.
