Dieser Park (Keunepark im Volksmund) wurde 1977 angelegt. Er bildet einen grünen Puffer zwischen dem Hafenkanal und den Bebauungen entlang der Albert-I.-Allee, die parallel zum Hafenkanal verläuft. Im Jahr 2000 wurde der Park in "Prins Mauritspark" umbenannt, anlässlich der Gedenkfeier zur Schlacht von Nieuwpoort im Jahr 1600.
