Landschaften, Wälder und Schlösser. Nichts lässt darauf schließen, dass dieser wunderschöne Wald in Beernem bis zum 18. Jahrhundert eine trostlose Heidefläche war. Graf Henri de Meeus ließ dort ein Jahrhundert später ein Schloss errichten und das raue 'Bulnas Campas' erschließen. Im Jahr 1904 kam das Anwesen in den Besitz der adeligen Familie Lippens, die den umliegenden Schlosspark anlegen ließ. Seit 1970 ist dies ein Provinzgelände (327 ha).
