Im Jahr 2018 begann Eddy Durnez mit einem Versuchsanbaugebiet entlang der Fleriskotstraat in Wilskerke.
Im schweren Polderlehm war das keine einfache Aufgabe. Als der Landwirt, der Eigentümer des Landes war, in den Ruhestand ging, ergriff Eddy seine Chance und startete das ehrgeizige Projekt Zeewientje: ein Teilweinberg von 2 Hektar, wo mittlerweile mehr als 25 Amateurwinzer ihren eigenen Mini-Weinberg haben. Jeder macht seinen eigenen Wein(e), während das gesamte Wissen, die Erfahrungen und das Material geteilt werden.
