Altea ist eine Küstenstadt in der Provinz Alicante der autonomen Valencianischen Gemeinschaft in Spanien.
Altea hatte bei einer Fläche von 34,4 km² am 1. Januar 2019 22.290 Einwohner. Die Stadt am Mittelmeer lebt heute vor allem vom Tourismus der Costa Blanca, dessen Entwicklung hier in den 1950er Jahren begann. In Altea befindet sich die Fakultät für Schöne Künste der Universität Miguel Hernández Elche. Die Stadt ist Mitglied der Städtevereinigung Douzelage.
