Paulinapolder
Im Jahr 1845 wurde das Marschland von der Compagnie-Pussemier aus Assenede (B) eingedeicht. Die Polder ist nach der Frau eines der Eindeichenden benannt.
In der Mitte der Eindeichung entstand ein Poldergebäude, Das Pavillon, wo die Eigentümer manchmal verweilten. Man baute einen Bauernhof in der jungen Polder.
Kurz nach 1900 verkauften die Nachkommen der Eindeichenden das Land, und es kamen weitere Bauernhöfe hinzu.
In den frühen Morgenstunden des 8. Oktober 1944 landeten kanadische Soldaten bei der Paulinapolder, um West-Zeeuws-Vlaanderen zu befreien. Siehe Foto.
