The Wuppertal residential district Osterholz is one of nine districts in the Vohwinkel district. It is named after the forest area Osterholz located in the western part of Wuppertal.
The residential district, covering 1.96 km², is sparsely populated and only has a closed development with single-family and multi-family houses in the east, at the settlement along Zur Waldkampfbahn street. Despite its name, the residential district has a rural character. Only a very small part of the Osterholz forest area lies within the residential district, a large portion of which has been designated as the Krutscheid nature reserve. The most important body of water is the Krudtscheider Bach.
