Josyne Van Vlasselaer, esposa de Aert van Beethoven, nació en la aldea de Berg-Heide (Kampenhout). Era una madre de cuatro hijos de cincuenta años, que fue quemada en la hoguera como bruja en la Gran Plaza de Bruselas en septiembre de 1595 tras ser sometida a torturas prolongadas. Estaba casada con Aert van Beethoven, diez años mayor, quien tuvo que presenciar impotente la pérdida de su esposa y la confiscación de sus bienes. Josyne fue un ancestro de Ludwig van Beethoven.
