Donde la ruta hace una ligera curva, aparece muy cerca la torpe aparición de la central eléctrica de IJssel, también conocida como Central Harculo. Antes, la central estaba en la ciudad, pero después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial se trasladó aquí. La central de IJssel ha estado proporcionando electricidad a Zwolle y sus alrededores desde 1914. Originalmente, la central tenía cinco chimeneas. En 2005, la central fue renovada, para que pueda seguir funcionando por el momento.
