Surnommé Hof d'Intere, d'après Ambrosius de Dynter qui reçut Wechelderzande en fief en 1444, voir l'introduction à la commune. L'apparence actuelle date de 1649, lorsque le château du 16ème siècle fut rénové par Johan de Proost, alors seigneur de Wechelderzande ; en 1686, il devint la propriété du curé de Wechelderzande ; des travaux de restauration ont été réalisés à plusieurs reprises, notamment selon les plans de J. Van Gastel en 1867, jusqu'en 1964 utilisé comme presbytère ; depuis 1977, il sert de mairie et depuis la fusion avec Lille, il est utilisé comme centre communal avec bibliothèque et parc.
