La gare d'Andernach est le carrefour de transport de la ville d'Andernach. Elle dispose de quatre voies pour les passagers, dont trois mesurent plus de 400 mètres, ainsi que des voies de stockage et de marchandises. Elle est située sur la ligne de chemin de fer de la rive gauche du Rhin et est le terminal de la ligne Eifelquerbahn. En plus du transport de passagers, il y a également du transport de conteneurs et de marchandises, qui est traité dans la gare de marchandises située à l'est derrière la gare. De là, des voies de raccordement mènent au port fluvial d'Andernach et à l'entreprise Rasselstein.
