Lugo est une ville du nord-ouest de l'Espagne, capitale de la province de Lugo, dans la communauté autonome de Galice. Elle est située à une centaine de kilomètres de la « Costa Verde » sur le golfe de Gascogne. La ville est connue pour les remparts qui entourent la ville, vestige bien conservé de la civilisation romaine datant du IIIe siècle.
