Le temple de Meyrueis visible actuellement fut mis en service en 1840. L’édifice est composé de deux octogones imbriqués qui ménagent ainsi un vaste espace. Sa beauté réside en son habillage intérieur tout lambrissé, de la coupole aux piliers qui la supportent.
De plus, une galerie de bois court sur tout le pourtour de l’édifice, servant de tribunes sur cinq pans.
