Le Veerplas est un plan d'eau récréatif dans la Veerpolder à l'est de Haarlem, près de Waarderpolder. Il fait partie de la zone de loisirs Spaarnwoude. Le lac mesure environ 450 mètres du nord au sud et 400 mètres d'est en ouest. Sur la rive sud se trouve un marais purificateur avec beaucoup de roseaux, un filtre à hélofytes. Pendant la saison hivernale, un grand nombre d'oiseaux aquatiques peuvent être présents ici et sur la rive est marécageuse, tels que l'oie cendre, le canard siffleur et le plongeon catmarin. Des carpes ont été introduites dans le plan d'eau par l'association locale de pêche sportive.
