La carta fabbrica de Meurs si trova a Neerdorp, un piccolo borgo sotto Huizingen lungo il corso inferiore del Molenbeek. Questa fabbrica è cresciuta da un mulino ad acqua per la carta che a sua volta è nato da un mulino ad acqua per i cereali. È contemporaneamente l'ultimo esempio conservato di una fabbrica di carta industriale nella regione a sud di Bruxelles, che storicamente era caratterizzata da una significativa produzione di carta legata all'acqua. Per almeno 450 anni qui è stata prodotta carta ininterrottamente. Gli edifici della fabbrica ancora esistenti risalgono al periodo 1892-1907.
