Berbersdorf è una frazione del comune di Striegistal nel distretto di Mittelsachsen, Stato libero di Sassonia. Il luogo con la sua frazione di Schmalbach si è unito il 1° gennaio 1994 con altri tre luoghi per formare il comune di Striegistal, che a sua volta è stato ampliato il 1° luglio 2008 con il comune di Tiefenbach.
Berbersdorf si trova nel centro del comune di Striegistal in una vallata lungo il corso inferiore del torrente Berbersdorfer, un affluente della Striegis. A ovest del villaggio, il Grande e il Piccolo Striegis si uniscono per formare la Striegis. Nella valle dello Striegis si trova a nord-ovest del villaggio il punto panoramico "Hoher Stein". La distanza dalla capitale della regione Dresda è di circa 40 km, mentre Chemnitz dista circa 30 km. Lipsia si trova a circa 100 km tramite l'autostrada A 14.
