Paulinapolder
Nel 1845 la Compagnie-Pussemier di Assenede (B) arginò questi acquitrini. La polder è stata intitolata alla moglie di uno degli arginatori.
Nel mezzo della diga fu costruito un edificio della polder, Il Padiglione, dove i proprietari soggiornavano a volte. Fu costruita una fattoria nella giovane polder.
Poco dopo il 1900 i discendenti degli arginatori vendettero i terreni e furono costruite altre fattorie.
La mattina presto dell'8 ottobre 1944 i soldati canadesi sbarcarono a Paulinapolder per liberare il West-Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. Vedi foto.
