In restaurant El Rancho in Chío is het eten is 100% Canarisch. Het is gelegen aan de TF38 die naar El Teide leidt.
Op het terras heb je een fenomenaal uitzicht. Het is een authentiek restaurant met lokale invloeden. Zeer lekkere tapas en huisgemaakte wijn. Zeer goede prijzen voor wat je krijgt. We hadden een tortilla, worstjes, Spaanse ham, manchego, mix van kroketjes allemaal zeer lekker.
Kan druk zijn want is ook een stopplaats voor de bussen met toeristen.
In de tuin bevindt zich een klein museum over de Guanchen.
Naast restaurant El Rancho zit een klein souvenir winkeltje. In dit winkeltje kun je echte Canarische delicatessen proeven zoals: honing, verschillende spreads, bananenwijn, bananenlikeur en noten.
