Description

Zogenaamd Hof d'Intere, naar Ambrosius de Dynter die Wechelderzande in leen kreeg in 1444, zie gemeente-inleiding. Het huidige uitzicht dateert van 1649 toen het 16de-eeuwse kasteel verbouwd werd door Johan de Proost, toenmalige heer van Wechelderzande; in 1686 werd het eigendom van de pastoor van Wechelderzande; meermaals werden herstellingswerken uitgevoerd, onder meer naar ontwerp van J. Van Gastel van 1867, tot 1964 in gebruik als pastorie; vanaf 1977 gemeentehuis en sedert de fusie met Lille in gebruik als gemeentelijk centrum met bibliotheek en park.
