Belangrijke dropzone van het geheime leger tijdens de 2de wereldoorlog.
In 1944 nemen inwoners van de dorpen Bonsin en omstreken deel aan de weerstand in België. Tussen april en september 1944, werden hier ‘s nachts munitie en mannen gedropt voor het geheime leger. Een monument werd opgericht in 1946 ter herdenking aan de mensen die voor onze vrijheid hebben gevochten. Een jaarlijkse militaire ceremonie heeft plaats in september.
