Het Leinewebermonument behoort samen met de Sparrenburg tot de belangrijkste symbolen van de stad Bielefeld. Het staat oostelijk van de Nicolaaskerk in het Altstädter Kirchpark. Het werd in 1909 gemaakt door de beeldhouwer Hans Perathoner, die sinds 1907 de beeldhouwersklas aan de ambachts- en kunstnijverheidsschool Bielefeld leidde. Het werd, net als het graafschapsmonument in Jöllenbeck, ingewijd ter gelegenheid van het 300-jarig bestaan van de graafschap Ravensberg op 16 juli 1909.
