Het graafschap Besalú was een van de landlocked middeleeuwse Catalaanse graafschappen nabij de Middellandse Zeekust. Het was ruwweg coterminous met de moderne comarca Garrotxa en strekte zich op verschillende momenten zover naar het noorden uit als Corbières, Aude, nu in Frankrijk. De hoofdstad was het dorp Besalú. Gedurende het grootste deel van zijn geschiedenis was het verbonden met een van de andere, meer krachtige graafschappen, maar het kende een eeuw van onafhankelijkheid voordat het uiteindelijk en onherroepelijk werd geannexeerd door het graafschap Barcelona.
