Borgen Bollendorf i kommunen Bollendorf står på en klippe i flodens lavland ved Sauer på fundamenterne af en tidligere romersk fæstning. Borgen var indtil slutningen af det 18. århundrede sæde for en underprovsti, der hørte under provstiet Echternach, som derfra administrerede landbrugene Bollendorf, Ernzen og Irrel. Anlægget er i dag i privat eje og bruges som hotel med ferielejligheder og restaurant.
