The four coves are a protected landscape in the Region of Murcia. It is considered a Site of Community Importance and belongs to the Natura 2000 network.
Located in the municipality of Águilas, it includes the coves of Calarreona, La Higuerica, La Carolina, and Los Cocedores, the latter being near the province of Almería. Wind and sea erosion have produced unique landscapes, with numerous volcanic outcrops. Among them is the Punta Parda volcano, which is considered to be of great geological importance.
