Antiguamente, la Plaza Sint-Goriksplein estaba rodeada por los brazos del Zenne y formaba así la isla Sint-Gorik, también conocida como la Gran Isla. Las cubiertas Sint-Gorikshallen datan de 1874 y hasta la década de 1970 se celebraba un mercado muy popular.
Pasa a la izquierda por el portón del restaurante Ô Lion d'Or, una posta del siglo XVII. En el patio descubrirás una reconstrucción del antiguo brazo del Zenne que separaba ambas islas (¡el río ya no fluye aquí!).
Cuidado: actualmente no hay acceso público debido a la situación sanitaria.
