Bruchmachtersen ist einer der 31 Stadtteile der kreisfreien Stadt Salzgitter in Niedersachsen, gelegen in der Ortschaft Nord. Bruchmachtersen liegt westlich von Salzgitter-Lebenstedt und Salzgitter-Salder, nordöstlich von Salzgitter-Lichtenberg und südlich des Salzgittersees.
Bruchmachtersen gehörte bis zum 31. März 1942 zum Landkreis Wolfenbüttel und wurde am 1. April 1942 ein Teil der Großstadt Watenstedt-Salzgitter. Am 23. Januar 1951 wurde diese in Salzgitter umbenannt.
